Measuring pressure using pressure gauges.

All hydraulic systems are fitted with a device which controls the gauge pressure, made up of one or more pressure gauges.

The pressure control in both industrial and environmental hydraulic systems is performed by pressure gauges. There are various types of these around including u-tube, Bourdon, Diaphragm and Piezoelectric. These types are designed to show the pressure difference between the external pipe and the atmosphere, provided that the pressure in the pipeline is higher than the one in the external environment. There are also other kinds of instruments for measuring negative pressure differences which are known as vacuometers.
The pressure gauges that Gnali Bocia produces and sells are the Bourdon type; this category is the most common of them all. Although they are very simple, versatile devices, the task which pressure gauges perform is very important. As a result of this Gnali Bocia has always wanted to certify them and all the products that they place on the market with a certificate of guarantee containing all the reference standards which the pressure gauges must comply with in order to be sold. In fact, the sale of pressure gauges depends on the regulations which certify this category of devices: there are in fact Italian, European and international standards.

Depending on the category of standards satisfied, there are fewer restrictions on the sale of pressure gauges. The scale of pressure, which is the maximum measurable pressure that the Gnali Bocia pressure gauges offer their customers, reaches a value ranging from 6 bar up to a maximum of 25 bar.
