Electrical resistors' characteristics

The electrical resistors are used to heat up fluids, such as water, inside boilers or water heaters and work at relatively low temperatures.

Electrical resistors were created to fulfill the need to heat water or other fluids and especially to use water in domestic settings. One of the examples that springs to mind is the use of electrical resistors inside boilers or water heaters.
The Gnali Bocia catalogue includes different types of resistors suitable for different uses and with a range of characteristics. Thus the option of choosing the most suitable resistor for your requirements among multiple types is ensured.
One of the requirements that the electrical resistors must satisfy is linked to corrosion. In the presence of water at a high temperature and with a chemical composition that causes metal components to deteriorate over time, the resistors can ‘suffer’ from weakness. To remedy this problem Gnali Bocia suggests the use of magnesium anodes as an intelligent solution. Using the same principle of operation of the batteries, a mutual transfer of ions capable of protecting the resistor from corrosion takes place between the electrical resistor and the anode.
In order to guarantee compliance to EU standards and be awarded the relative certifications, Gnali Bocia ensures that all its products, including electrical resistors, fulfill the minimum requirements that allow free trade within the EU member countries that adhere to the aforementioned standards.
Aside from being used for boilers and water heaters, the electrical resistors, especially those in steel, can be used as components for washing machines, kettles and small household appliances that require fluid at a temperature which is constant and is higher than ambient temperature without being too high.
